About Us - Senior Management

 

The principal management of ACell is comprised of:


1James DeFrancesco, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. DeFrancesco joined ACell as CEO and President in early 2002 with the objective of jumpstarting and leading the transition of UBM laboratory research into commercial markets. In 1987 Mr. DeFrancesco founded Credit Management Solutions, Inc. (CMSI), a financial services technology company, and served as the President, CEO and Chairman. CMSI went public in 1996 (NASDAQ: CMSS) and was sold to Fortune 500 Company First American Financial Corporation (NYSE: FAF) in 2001.


Rodney Bosley, President

Mr. Bosley has over 25 years experience in the medical device industry holding senior level positions in product development, business development, marketing and sales in both international and domestic markets. Mr. Bosley holds numerous medical device patents and has spent the last several years working in the field of regenerative medicine.


Miles Grody, Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Mr. Grody has over 20 years serving in a variety of executive positions growing start-up and early stage technology companies to maturity, and has been with ACell since 2002. Mr. Grody earned his B.A. from Harvard University, and earned his M.Phil. and J.D. from Yale University.


Edward O’Brien, Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining ACell as Chief Financial Officer in 2008, Mr. O’Brien held the position of Executive Vice President, CFO, and Corporate Controller for Transaction Network Services, Inc. from 1999 through 2007. Previously, he was Vice President of Accounting for World Duty Free, Inc. and held the position of Vice President and Controller for Trak Auto, Inc.


Clay Fette, Vice President, Product Development

Mr. Fette has over ten years experience in the medical device industry in a variety of engineering roles. His experience includes work throughout the various surgical and orthopedic fields, including xenograft and allograft products, growth factors and cell culture technology. Clay received his B.S. and his M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, IN. He is also listed as an inventor on numerous biomaterial medical device patents and/or published applications.


Ralph Leasure, Vice President, Veterinary Sales & Marketing

Mr. Leasure has been a Sales and Marketing Executive in the medical industry over the last thirty years. During that period, he has worked for C.R. Bard, Precept, Fred Mischler Associates, and was President of Medis, Inc. and Ralph Leasure and Associates, an independent orthopaedic distributor. Mr. Leasure has a B.S. in Biology from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA
