Changing the Fundamental Healing Response

The result of years of research and development in regenerative medicine, ACell Vet™ provides your practice a unique new treatment option capable of outperforming all others. The ACell Vet™ product is a naturally occurring biologic scaffold that fundamentally alters the wound healing response by providing a favorable environment for cell growth at the site of damaged, weakened or missing tissue. Now even in the most difficult cases, repairing damaged or lost tissue can be accomplished easily and with predictable results.

The ACell Vet™ product fundamentally changes healing by triggering abundant new blood vessel formation and recruiting numerous cell types to the wound site. These cells, including mononuclear cells, have the potential to differentiate, organize and develop into numerous types of site specific tissues. During the healing process, the ACell Vet™ scaffold is gradually degraded and resorbed leaving only new tissue where scar tissue would be the typical healing response.

Natural, Resorbable, and Acellular

ACell technology is based on a biological scaffold material that is:

Naturally occurring. ACell Vet™ is a porcine derived extracellular matrix consisting of a mixture of structural and functional proteins arranged in a unique three dimensional ultrastructure.
Completely resorbable. During the process of tissue remodeling, ACell Vet™ is completely degraded and replaced by host-derived tissue.
Totally acellular. ACell Vet™ is rendered completely acellular during the manufacturing process, leaving only the naturally occurring extracellular matrix.

Excellent Strength and Easy to Handle

Easy to handle and with excellent strength, ACell Vet™ is packaged sterile and is available in lyophilized form.

ACell Vet™ comes in powder, corneal discs, and individual sheets that can be rolled, folded or shaped depending on the application and treatment.
